London In 2 Days

How To See London's Major Attractions In Just 2 Days

If you find yourself in London with very little time, but want to see as much of this great city as possible, there are a few options to help you accomplish this, the 2 most common being the open top bus tours or taxicabs tours. While these are great for seeing lots of London in a short amount of time, they can’t give you a true London “experience” the way walking London’s streets can. In addition to that, walking will give you more flexibility with time spent at each attraction. We’ve put together 2 walks using Google Maps that will enable you to use your phone to guide you. These 2 walks will allow you to see pretty much every major attraction in two days, with an added bonus of seeing everything in between each major attraction giving you the aforementioned true London “experience”.

So put on  your best walking shoes and get ready to see London in a way that you’ll never forget!

Here are the major London tourist attractions you'll see on these walks:

  • Buckingham Palace
  • Piccadilly Circus
  • Trafalgar Square
  • 10 Downing Street
  • Tower Bridge
  • Tower of London
  • Big Ben
  • Houses of Parliament
  • Millenium Wheel
  • Westminster Abby
  • Churchill War Rooms
  • Saint Paul’s Cathedral

Before we get started, let's talk about where you should stay.

The best place to stay in London for tourists is Paddington, Why? Because Paddington is the only area of London with direct access to Heathrow Airport via the Heathrow express, which whisks you into London in just 15 minutes. Paddington also has direct access to Heathrow via the Elizabeth line which gets you to and from London in just 30 minutes. Both of these train lines can be accessed at Paddington Station.

There are many hotels around Paddington Station, including the Paddington Hilton which is literally connected to the station. We highly recommend The Stylotel Hotel, which is just a minute walk from the station. Tell them at check in that you were referred by this website and get 15% off your stay!
